Built-in DSC (digital selective calling):

For added safety at sea, the IC-M802 offers the latest in one-touch DSC emergency communications. (ITU class E standard.)


Digital connection between remote head (or PC) and main body:

Two computers - one in the control head and one in the transceiver body -communicate via a low cost, highly reliable coax cable. The computers convert voice and control info into data. The result is pindrop clear reception, since noise and interference have virtually been eliminated.


The DSP (digital signal processor) advantage:

The latest ICOM DSP technology increases average talk power via the speech compressor. Flexible filter settings provide for narrow band signals like E-mail and other operation without an optional filter.

Each identified by either alphacharacters, channel number or frequency

  • AT-140 HF AUTOMATIC ANTENNA TUNER:
    Matches the transceiver to a long wire antenna with little insertion loss.
  • MN-100 ANTENNA MATCHER:
    Match the transceiver to a dipole antenna. Covers all HF bands from 1.5 to 30 MHz. Two 8 m antenna wires come attached.
  • MN-100L ANTENNA MATCHER:
    Match the transceiver to a long wire antenna. Covers all HF bands from 1.5 to 30 MHz. 15 m antenna wire comes attached.
  • AH-710 FOLDED DIPOLE ANTENNA:
    Covers from 1.9 to 30 MHz band. Has an SO-239 connector. Easy to assemble (non-kink construction).
  • PS-60 DC POWER SUPPLY:
    Provides 13.6 V DC (30 A) output from an AC outlet.
  • HM-135 HAND MICROPHONE:
    Water resistant, remote function mic, same as supplied with the IC-M802.
  • RC-25 REMOTE CONTROLLER:
    Additional controller unit allows intercom function. The HM-135 is supplied.
  • OPC-1106 SEPARATION CABLE:
    Same as supplied. Cable length 5 M (16.4 ft).
  • OPC-1147 SHIELD CONTROL CABLE:
    10m (32.8ft) shield cable to control the AT-140 antenna tuner.
