The Icom M302 brings Icom quality and value to VHF Marine radio operations. This radio features 25 watts of output in an attractive, water-resistant package. You get High or Low power output (25 watt or 1 watt). The large, backlit LCD shows large channel numbers and channel names of up to 10 characters. Four levels of LCD backlighting are available. The speaker's high sound pressure level delivers loud and clear reception. Background noise is blown away! And the microphone is tuned to pick up voice, while reducing ambient noise.


The M302 has built-in DSC capability. The DSC (Digital Selective Calling) allows you to send a formatted distress message in an emergency. Position data is automatically exchanged between the two stations. This radio is submersible to a 1 meter depth for 30 minutes. The installation of the IC-M302 is not limited to covered areas. Be assured, the IC-M302 can handle all types of wet! Equivalent to JIS Grade 7.

  • Large 2-digit channel number with scrolling channel names
    Look at the size of the LCD with large letters and numbers! The large, easy to see display has 27 x 43 mm (1 1/16 x 1 5/8 in.) dimensions, so channel indications are maximized. 10-character channel names and all settings are displayed at the same time.
  • Easy to hear speaker
    A newly designed large speaker grill improves the output of the front mounted speaker. The result is that the audio sounds even louder than the 4.5 (typical) output capability, even over wind or engine noise.
  • Built-in DSC capability that meets U.S.C.G. SC-101
    The DSC watch function monitors Ch 70, while receiving another channel. It allows you to send a formatted distress message in an emergency. The position request function indicates a caller's position. Up to 30 DSC IDs are memorized.

    By spraying off any salt with fresh water after your outing, the IC-M302 is designed to work for many years. (Equivalent to JIS-7, submersible in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes; except cables.)
