Multiple CTCSS & DTCS tone memories with multiple memory channels

Program up to 16 CTCSS/DTCS tones per channel. This feature allows you to share a chennel with multiple user groups. You can also give priority/exclusive use to a specified group simply by programming different tones to another memory channel.

P25 Compliant mobile radios F1721/F1821 (VHF) / F2721/F2821 (UHF)

Interoperability

The IC-F1721D/F1821D is APCO Project 25 (P25) compliant. It ensures interoperability with other manufacturer’s P25 digital radios in conventional mode.

Upgrade to digital option*

The IC-F1721D/F1821D is available in two digital versions. One version is P25 compliant out of the box. Version two is an analog only radio that is future upgradeable to P25 digital compatibility– grow into digital with Icom. (*Upgrade software available later.)

Mixed mode operation

The IC-F1721D/F1821D is compatible with both analog FM mode and P25 digital mode. Program digital and/or analog FM modes per channel. The mixed mode scan allows you to detect and receive both analog FM and P25 digital modes and to transmit either mode depending on programming.

Detachable front panel

With the optional remote control kit, RMK-2 and separation cable, the front panel of the radio can be detached from the main unit. It allows you flexible installation even in limited installation space. Separation cable length is selectable from 1.9, 3.0 and 8.0m.

Dot matrix, multi-function LCD

Using a high contrast LCD, the ICF1721/ F1821 series shows operating channels, tone and other settings clearly under nearly any lighting conditions. With a dot matrix display, upper and lower case characters can be easily distinguished. In addition, you can change the display setting to show one line and 12 characters, or two lines and 24 characters via programming

Heavy-duty microphone, HM-148

The new heavy-duty hand microphone, HM-148, uses a dynamic design that is made to handle punishment. The oversized dimensions allow for easy use with gloves on. And the curl cord can be easily replaced by simply opening the case – easy maintenance for long term use.

Rugged construction

With heavy-duty construction, the ICF1721/F1821 series is built to last. The ICF1721/D incorporates a 4W speaker in an impact resistant polycarbonate front panel for crisp clear audio, and the IC-F1821/D has a backlit 10-keypad for extended operation. Built-in versatile tone signaling

Face the speaker in the direction you need

Some people install their radios under the dashboard. Others, on the ceiling. Facing the speaker in the right direction is important for clear audio. The IC-F521/F621 series lets you simply rotate the chassis to face the speaker in the direction you need while the control head remains right side up.

Up to 7 programmable buttons

The [P0]–[P3], [Red] and [Up], [Down] buttons are programmable to meet specific needs. The [Red] button on the top panel can be assigned as an emergency trigger.

Alphanumeric display

The large high contrast LCD clearly shows a variety of information with a full dot-matrix display. Program the display to show either 1 line with 12 characters or 2 lines with 24 characters. Status icons are displayed at the top and the functions assigned to the P buttons (P0–P3) are shown at the bottom of the display.

Wide range coverage and large channel capacity

The IC-F70/F80 covers a wide frequency range in one version. The large capacity of 256 memory channels with 32 memory banks allows you to divide and store a variety of channels from local to wide area network channels. Both wide and narrow (25/12.5kHz) channel bandwidth is programmable to each channel. As well, programming for digital or analog modes can be selected on a per channel basis.

Tactical group function

Lithium-Ion battery standard

The IC-F3021 series comes with the BP-231 Li-Ion battery pack as standard. Li-Ion batteries have virtually no memory issues and allows you flexible charging. The optional BP-232 provides a high capacity 2000mAh for longer operating time.

The IC-F43TR is the perfect subscriber. This light weight radio is a heavy weight when it comes to features, allowing you to take full advantage of all of your systems options. No matter what system you choose, the IC-F43TR is the radio to take you there.

Multiple modes

Conventional, basic LTR and PassPort features are built-in. Operating modes are selectable from rotary selector or up/down buttons. Flash memory enables future system upgrades.

LTR features

The IC-F43TR offers maximum flexibility to program up to 250 systems or up to 250 groups per system.

PassPort features

Individual Selective Call (MIN call) allows private call between individual members within a fleet. Primary Talk Group (All call) allows individual users to call all groups in the fleet. The calling party's names are shown in the display, while in group conversation. The built-in receive signal strength indicator (RSSI) enables seamless roaming under the PassPort protocol. Site Lock function locks the radio onto the current site to avoid roaming.

Conventional features

Up to 250 channels either 12.5kHz or 25kHz channel spacing, CTCSS, DTCS and alphanumeric names are programmable.

PTT over tone

PTT over tone sends a beep sound when you release the PTT, instead of saying "Over"

Wideband coverage

Two bandwidth versions (400-470MHz, 450-512MHz) all have switchable 12.5/25kHz width by channel, and 5/6.25kHz frequency pitch making all the new UHF channels available for trunking.
